For this Sunday's mix we're taking a trip to the Pacific West Coast of British Columbia in Canada, to the misty Great Bear Rainforest. As we venture deep into the rain-soaked and tree-carpeted ancient woods, we'll be sure to encounter a host of local wildlife including species such as cougars, wolves, salmon, grizzly bears and the Kermode "spirit" bear, a unique subspecies of the Black Bear, in which one in ten cubs displays a recessive white-coloured coat. Accompanying us as we explore the terrain and uncover the flora and fauna within will be a soundtrack featuring artists such as Biosphere, Aphex Twin, Thom Brennan, 4-D Traveller, Cinematic 74 and Carbon Based Lifeforms.
