Coming Thursday, May 29th, Metamorphosis is curating an evening at Radio Hinter.
Metamorphosis is a Netherlands based collective with Italian roots, organizing events around Utrecht and Amsterdam since 2022. They have a deep connection with the free party scene and love to combine visual arts with music. For the curation of this radio show they have carefully selected some local talents and friends: expect tribal sounds, hypnotic patterns and dub influences.

Following the recent open calls, a new wave of artists will be presenting their works during the radio sessions. This edition, René le Clercq’s work “Monochrome” will be featured.
René’s work is abstract and layered, inspired by post-WWII American abstract expressionists, as well as Japanese and Korean variations of the movement. For him, painting is mostly about experimenting, tinkering, making a mess, and seeing what emerges.
The abstract paintings are made on wood, using leftover household paints like wall and lacquer paint. Tools include rollers, spatulas, brushes, and sponges. Linseed oil and wax are sometimes used, and occasionally, fire is applied to the work.
